Cartrack’s system is designed to integrate with vehicle inputs such as PTO switches, allowing you to confidently know the exact status of service vehicles such as Trucks and heavy machinery. When the Driver activates the switch/PTO our unit registers what time it occurred, where, and for how long.
Inputs are commonly used for:
Cranes
Door Sensors
Fuel Caps
Winches
Tipper Trucks
4 analog inputs and report on whether that’s been engaged or not. Practical example. Farmer using sprayer on tractors, we can know if it’s turned on or not.
With inputs you’re measuring one place/instance on the vehicle.
With can bus, most vehicles have got a management system and it conforms to an international standard that’s calls CANBUS. It’s the diagnostics of the vehicle. We put in a censor around the diagnostic line of the vehicle and then we can interpret the messages / signals sent
Canbus refers to all things in the vehicle.
Canbus gives us all the information like revs, temp, anything monitored be vehicle we can read via canbus and report on it separately
The problem is we’ve got to reverse engineer a vehicle to be able to do that. Need a lot of vehicles in the same model. Need large volume.
CAN BUS Integration
Interpret sensor data from your fleet vehicles such as; RPM, Fuel Level, Brake Pedal Sensors, Throttle Position Sensors, Engine Oil Pressure, and Engine Coolant Temperature.
Use this information for driver benchmarking, fuel efficiency reporting, and general performance improvements on the Fleet.
Canbus integration is vehicle-dependent, get in touch to learn more.
